Nuclear Physics
The Medical Physics Department is dedicated to ensuring the precise, safe, and optimal application of radiation in nuclear medicine. Its functions encompass rigorous quality assurance, meticulous equipment calibration, and comprehensive radiation protection practices. All activities are conducted in strict accordance with the regulatory framework of the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority and the internationally endorsed standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency, thereby upholding excellence in diagnostic accuracy, therapeutic effectiveness, and patient safety. The department is led by Ms. Humara Noreen, Principal Scientist, and Radiation Protection Officer (RPO), along with Mr. Dilbar Iqbal, Medical Physicist, who collectively ensure the highest professional and regulatory standards.
